Important Dates for Breeze 4.1 Server
As it was mentioned in previous announcements, the Breeze 4.1 server will be decommissioned at the end of summer. (Please note: Breeze 5 services will still be available to users.) The Breeze 4.1 server will officially go offline on Monday, October 2, 2006. In order to facilitate this process, the following Breeze 4.1 services will become unavailable as of Monday, August 14, 2006:
- publishing new presentations or other content to the Breeze 4.1 server
- creating new Breeze Live 4.1 meetings
Services that will be available between August 14 and October 2, 2006 include:
- viewing Breeze 4.1 presentations available on the Breeze 4.1 server (i.e., breeze4.umn.edu)
- participating in Breeze Live 4.1 meetings scheduled before August 14, 2006
- viewing recordings of Breeze Live 4.1 meetings
If you are currently publishing presentations, hosting meetings, and/or viewing recordings in Breeze 4.1 and need information on how to start using Breeze 5.1, there are two options for you to get help:
- Online Support and FAQ - The Breeze web site has information available on migrating from Breeze 4.1 to Breeze 5.1. Go to http://breeze.umn.edu/support/migration/index.html for more information.
- Available Training - Breeze 5: Migrating from Breeze 4.1 is a free seminar through University Technology Training Center (UTTC) that will be offered throughout the summer. For information on upcoming sessions and other training options for Breeze 5, see UTTC's web site at http://uttc.umn.edu/.
